What Causes It
Premenstrual Syndrome, or PMS, is a monthly condition that affects 85% of women in some form. Five days before the start of your period, most women’s bodies undergo physiological changes. Hormone levels drop, brain chemicals change and many vitamins and minerals become deficient. These cyclical adjustments can trigger mild to extremely painful symptoms, both physical (bloating, constipation, headaches, back and joint pain, breast tenderness) and emotional (irritability, anger, depression, anxiety, even crying spells). Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is the most severe form of PMS and can inhibit a client’s ability to function.
How We Treat It
Women hail the natural remedies prescribed to help them feel great and function at their best all month long. The Hall Center has formulated proprietary PMS treatments using proven herbal compounds (black cohosh, chasteberry) and vitamins and minerals (folic acid, magnesium, vitamin E and B6). Not only can they relieve PMS symptoms, but taken proactively can lessen or prevent the onset of many debilitating physical and emotional effects of PMS. Lifestyle changes (nutritional, stress management, exercise) are also recommended.
This Condition is treated through the Hall Core Program. Consultation visits may focus on this issue along with other health concerns.
