Petra Dorfsman, a Naturopathic Doctor who practices Functional Medicine, has joined The Hall Center. Dorfsman is dedicated to solving the root causes of chronic and often complex cases by harnessing the power of Functional Medicine to transform healthcare. She empowers her patients to achieve optimal health using nutrition, nutrigenomics, nutraceuticals, botanical medicine, and IV therapies.
A native of the Netherlands, Dorfsman moved to New York at age 21. After 8 years in the entertainment industry, Dorfsman became a parent and her interests radically shifted. She started researching the science of optimal health with particular attention to the critical roles of both nutrition and environment. Eager to master and promote the biochemistry and physiology of healthy metabolism, she found her way to Naturopathic Medicine and graduated from the prestigious Bastyr University.
Through her extensive experience and training in bio-identical hormones and focus on gastrointestinal healing, Dr. Dorfsman’s patients and their families are able to live their lives to the fullest.
Her professional memberships include the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the American College of Nutrition, the California Naturopathy Doctors Association, the Institute of Functional Medicine, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathy Practitioners.
Dorfsman and her husband Neil Dorfsman, a record producer and engineer, have a daughter who is now a student at the Pratt Institute in New York.
