At The Hall Center we conducted an extensive search of the available equipment on the market and are excited about the fantastic results we are seeing with the Palomar Starlux 500 system that we are now using. All of the handpieces with both the fractional laser technique as well as the intermittent pulsed light(IPL) equipment have state of the art and patented pre-cooled heads which significantly adds to the comfort of the treatment.
Due to the differences of the technology and varying depths that the skin is affected from the handpieces, we are able to combine different treatments together in one session, which saves time in the treatment, recovery, and results.
Most of the treatment protocols require a series of three to six sessions, but we are amazed at how good the results are in many cases after just one treatment. Combining these treatments with facials by our aesthetician, brings even better and faster improvements with youthful looking and feeling skin.
The various techniques we offer can be mixed and matched to the person’s specific skin defects and skin type. We are offering two different types of laser skin tightening. One is more superficial for treating minor wrinkles such as crow’s feet around the eyes,smile lines around the mouth, “smoker’s ridges”(even in non smokers) along the upper lip,frown lines across the brow, and even acne scars. The deep infrared laser technique produces skin tightening of deeper tissues along the cheeks, jowls and neck.
With the IPL (pulsed light) handpieces we are getting beautiful results in clearing dark pigmented spots on the face ,neck, chest and extremities caused by years of sun damage. They are also effective at eliminating tiny spider veins on the cheeks and nose as well as rosacea. Many times the veins are gone after the first treatment.
The face and hands look so much more clear and youthful after combining the photofacials with hydrating and oxygenating facials. We are also able to do skin tightening and pulsed light therapy in the same session for fantastic results of clear tightened skin.
The pulsed light therapy is also extremely effective at permanent hair reduction. Many of our women patients have been taking advantage of this to remove unwanted hair on their arms,legs, underarms, face and bikini area. We have also had good results with hair removal on men’s backs.
Most of the treatments require no anesthetic and all of the treatments require no time lost from work due to the skin reaction. The only anesthetic that is occasionally required is topical, applied 30-45 minutes prior to the treatment. Aftercare is also simple with the need to protect the skin from sun exposure by wearing sunblock. Makeup and moisturizers are allowed after the first or second day.
